Man, I have no problem with you making parodies. This issue there was that you used another guy's parody.
Now, say, if I took this exact scenario from a Saw parody done by the webcomic CTRL-ALT-DEL, that would be stealing.
Also, for the record, I really did e-mail Scott, though you can claim all you like I'm making it up.

For the record, I'm not trying to push you down. Quite the opposite. I'm trying to help you. You won't get anywhere in life by taking other people's ideas... well, maybe you will, but you won't gain any satisfaction from it and, in the end, you're not really the successful one, they are (you're just riding the wave).

Keep animating, man, just do something original.
